Exciting new attractions and entertainment offerings are making a splash in Kissimmee this summer. From space shuttles and intergalactic battles to stunning horses and cuddly penguins, the fun is heating up in this Central Florida destination that plays host to more than six million annual visitors. Here’s a look at the latest Kissimmee has to offer.

Space Shuttle Atlantis makes a historic return to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, just a short drive from Kissimmee on the coast. You’ll come nose-to-nose with the actual shuttle and experience more than 60 interactive exhibits and high-tech simulators that showcase the many achievements made during the course of the 30-year Space Shuttle Program, including the building of the International Space Station and the Hubble Space Telescope.

From the outer reaches of space, venture to the bottom of the world at SeaWorld Orlando on the new Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin attraction. It combines innovative ride technology and up-close encounters with a huge colony of penguins.

An intergalactic battle is taking place at Universal Orlando at the highly anticipated attraction TRANSFORMERS: The Ride—3D. Pushing the limits of technology, this action-packed ride experience places guests in the middle of a battle between rival characters from the hit film series and toy line.

Next door at Universal Studios, take a walk through Springfield, the hometown of America’s favorite animated family, The Simpsons.  Grab a bite to eat on Fast Food Boulevard or sip a Duff Beer, brewed exclusively for Universal Orlando. Later this summer, take a spin on Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl and meet Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob.

An army of animal tribes visits LEGOLAND Florida with The World of Chima presented by Cartoon Network. The expansion is home to The Quest for Chi, an interactive, family-friendly water ride that allows riders to journey to recover a stolen mystic power, and characters such as Laval the Lion Prince and Cragger the Crocodile King from the popular LEGO product line.

At Walt Disney World Resort“Pirates Adventure” is taking families on a high seas journey through Adventureland at Magic Kingdom Park. Join Captain Jack Sparrow’s crew, choose one of five pirate “raids,” and set out in search of riches with the help of a magical treasure map.

The ever-popular Arabian Nights Dinner Attraction is introducing a new show with a new story line this summer. In “The Royal Celebration,” two opposing tribes will come together through the marriage of a Prince and Princess. Changes to the show will include new lighting, costumes and music, however, certain fan-favorite acts will still be incorporated into the show.

The Rat Pack & Friends- Dinner and Tribute Show is the newest in entertainment and dining to hit Kissimmee. It is a celebration of yesteryear when The Rat Pack ruled the Vegas strip.  During the hour-and-a-half performance, Frank and the boys wind back the clock and remember the good old days while performing classic Rat Pack hits from the libraries of Frank, Dean and Sammy. Guests will also enjoy a 4-course family style Italian meal.
